Collaborate
Currently, as the product of a singular individual, this research would benefit from the wealth of knowledge from the community at large. If you want to get involved to any capacity, do not hesitate to reach out. Any commentary by researchers, performers or historians is extremely welcome. This site is to be a tool for bassists everywhere and any comments regarding its growth is extremely appreciated.
The majority of the data I consulted to compile the research for this site has been acquired through the archived journal articles containing historical information through the magazine publication by the International Society of Bassists, materials that have maintained publication, thanks in part to a handful of key editors throughout history, occasional information presented as biographical information conducted as a part of graduate-level research or published to other articles, and bassists who are passionate about the lineage and legacy left by these educators.
This means there are many gaps in the data, and many discrepancies that I myself have had to work around, nevermind the physical distance I have from source material in Central and Eastern Europe (which is also ignoring the addition of a language barrier). That being said, if you find that this research is meaningful to you and you would like to assist, I have expressed ways below that you can help out and means that you can contact me.

Ways to Help
1 / Additions and Corrections
At the moment most of the research that has been conducted for this site has been through information accessible primarily by previous graduate level documents, articles going as far back as 1972 which were published to the International Society of Bassists, and other bass historians who have published online research. Many areas need augmenting, especially the biography section.
2 / Proposals
At this early stage I am open to suggestions as to how this site can be modified to best be of use to our bass community.
3 / Join the Team
Right now I am open to getting more people involved with maintaining and adding to this database. This is hopefully going to be a project to last a long time and it would be nice to see a team of like minded individuals join this project.
