​        The great and continuous challenge of the bass player, even in the 21st century, has been addressing the lack of solo or chamber repertoire that cultivates a musical and virtuosic mindset within the bassist. In theme with advocating for the musicians of the Prague Conservatory, the following catalog below contains information to connect with the body of works created by these musicians.

       This catalog is split into three separate sections. Works by bassists of Czech heritage, works by bassists associated with the Prague Conservatory, but not of Czech heritage, and works by Czech composers written or transcribed for bass.

       This catalogue is intended to be a continuing growing body of literature. You will find, in addition to the names of the composers, links to all available recordings that have been uploaded to the internet via YouTube, and links to access or purchase the music.

       That being said, there are many other pieces that may have avoided being catalogued, or their existence is known, but they have been forgotten or they have fallen out of publication.
